Geoff has been a journey man in life. In his 60 plus years he has worked and lived in nearly every state / territory in Australia. He was done pretty much everything from erecting windmills to donning a suit and tie in boardrooms.
His life experiences are reflected in his words and stories he shares.
After a 38 year hiatus from music, where he never even picked up a guitar, in 2013 he started playing again, in 2015 he started writing. His prolific writing reflecting on his life and observations of life, is now part of his daily routine.
Geoff draws inspiration from the great musical social observers of the past plus the simplistic music of the 1800s and early 1900s.
A self confessed multi instrument tragic, he uses his love of sound to compliment his stories.
Geoff has a passion for reworking old poetry and songs. This site contains some Edgar Allan Poe works that he continues to work on, some are nearly complete. He also have reworked some old songs from the 1700 and 1800's which will soon be listed on here.
Geoff is also passionate about collaboration. He is always happy to discuss co-writing, especially on the lyrical side. If you have an idea thats just burning you , talk to him, he might be able to throw some words around it. Who knows what may come out of it. Some of the lyrics are already published are already spoken for, this can be discussed this further.
Geoff has decided to publish all the lyrics he writes, or as he calls them, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Some are purely ideas for future songs.
Now after that 38 years, and in between trying to teach himself guitar, banjo, mandolin, autoharp, harmonica and a range of other bits and pieces, he has started to perform regularly again.
Pure peer pressure drew out of his secretive writing world and on to stage. As he has always said I am way to busy writing and commenting on the world to perform, record or have a you tube channel. This is about to change. There is an old you tube channel that Geoff has linked, this will be gradually updated
