Two Ships

Verse 1

Two ships crossing
Dark misty night
Brief encounters
Destiny to collide

Verse 2

One ship a bright future
The other a life spent
One ship a new start
The other a life to end

Verse 3

Captains of the ships
Blinded by the other lights
Steer a course of danger
Navigation with no sight

Verse 4

Captains smile gently
Comfort is in the light
Such a beautiful feeling
Must be right

Verse 5

Doubts flood their minds
Ghosts of pasts haunt
Concerns for the other
Fights two souls drawn

Verse 6

Collision is avoided
Two steel lives gently brush
Crews wave frantically
Then there is a hush

Verse 7

One ship sails to the sun
Its beauty bathed in light
The other sails to the fog
Its crew and lives lost
