The Wave
Verse 1
Cant say we werent warned
Fires, droughts, disease
Mother Earth telling us
We need to change our way
Verse 2
But no we keep plundering
Clearing, digging, polluting
Not heed the warnings
Blinded by our greed
Verse 3
Fed up with mankinds follies
Mother Earth hailed her followers
Wind, fire and water
Came at her command
Verse 4
She looked solemnly down
Having run out of options
“ I will smite humanity”
Gone and forgotten
Verse 5
Mother Earth lifted all life
Wind cradled them, kept them safe
Fire melted the ice lands
Giving water more to raise
Verse 6
Water raised the waves
Smashing all the countries
Only man on highest peaks
Managed to survive
Verse 7
Mother Earth restored
All vegetation to the lands
Wind deposited gently
Animals back to their stand
Verse 8
Bees were made rulers
Creators of all life
To maintain the balance
And control whats left of mankind
