Old Streets and Buildings

Verse 1

Winding narrow streets

Bright colored walls

Wheel rutted paths

Weathered old doors

Verse 2

Generations of stories

Like libraries of stone

Around every corner

A surprise to be found

Verse 3

A quiet bench to sit

Contemplate history past

Human events seen

Echoes that last

Verse 4

Sunlight only enters

These streets for short times

Sound carries far

As I whisper your name

Verse 5

Who knows when you trod

These streets so thin

I will continue to wander

Where you have been

Verse 6

1000 streets, in 1000 towns

I have searched to find

Love lost years ago

You memory burned in time

Verse 7

Cobbled streets are my grave

Stone walls my tomb

In a race to find

Against death too soon
