Main Street Town

Verse 1

Sun was setting low

On Main Street Town

Light gently lit

Buildings closed down

Verse 2

Gold ran out

The year before

Main Street Town

Looked tired and forlorn

Chorus

Gambling ,killing and drinking

Had become the towns sport

Lawlessness crept in

Wild women covort

Verse 3

Word had got round

A stranger road into town

Atop his black steed

Stranger stared down

Verse 4

His clothing was black

From his hat to his boots

His eyes black as tar

Chilled the town to its roots

Chorus

Gambling ,killing and drinking

Had become the towns sport

Lawlessness crept in

Wild women covort

Verse 5

Stranger said nothing

As he road through the town

Just a stare and a rye grin

Not a meaning to be found

Verse 6

Stranger road out

To a sense of relief

Its back to our evil ways

With no real belief

Verse 7 (Spoken )

Stroke of midnight

A roar was heard

Mother of all tornadoes

Removed the town from the earth
