There is a sinister force
We need to address
Present not long after birth
Sitting waiting to manifest

What triggers its presence
So poorly understood
Like an unseen cancer
Striking even if you feel good

Lone Wolf may fight it

We call it black dog
It will bare its teeth to all
This dog’s teeth dig deep
Tearing your very soul

Black dogs victims
Feel desolate and lone
Without hope or future
Happiness all gone

Black dog has one weakness
A crack to explore
Strength of friendship
Strength is its flaw

In openness there is strength
