Lets face it

The world is pretty fucked

Dominated by the rich

Our futures pretty stuffed

Blinded by greed

Raping both land and poor

Making hollow promises

Of equality to restore

The religions are fighting

Blinded by their faith

Delivering us so quickly

To the door step of hells gate

The earth is heating quickly

Greed and ignorance its allies

Efforts of too few to stop it

On them we cant rely

I sat at the stroke of midnight

A new year arrives

Thinking of the future

On the future of our lives

Not one for resolutions

Only one for me to strive

Make it to next new year
